High Frequency Mesotherapy: The Thinking Girls Beauty Treatment
As a beauty editor, I am frequently asked what beauty treatments I’d recommend and 9 times out of 10, I’ll find myself vouching for some form of microneedling.
A terrifying thought to most, microneedling in truth, is one treatment suitable for most skin types. Using tiny needle to gently puncture the skin, it helps treat a range of conditions from fine lines and wrinkles to sagging skin, scarring, age spots and pigmentation by stimulating collagen and elastin production so your skin repairs and rejuvenates itself. The result: plumper, smoother, firmer skin with no down time.
High Frequency Mesotherapy takes microneedling one-step further by delivering a direct hit of intense vitamins and minerals to the lower layers of the skin while it’s punctured. Virtually pain free (think more painful than a facial, less so than having your eyebrows threaded), Mesotherapy rejuvenates, replenishes and revitalises thanks to this added hit of vitamins working as a booster for new cell growth, collagen production and enhanced microcirculation.
Taking around 30 minutes per treatment (a course of 6 is recommended for optimal results), the trained therapist will cleanse and prep your skin before inspecting its overall appearance and tailoring a cocktail of vitamins, hylauronic acid and silicone to your individual skincare needs. Using a Meso-gun (again not nearly as scary as it sounds), the therapist will gently glide the tiny needle across your skin to create minuscule traumas, focusing on any pre-discussed areas of concern. It’s this trauma casing process that activates your body’s’ own skin-healing proteins, while the added cocktail of vitamins work to booster rejuvenation and hydration.
Immediately following slight redness, bruising or swelling may be experience however this should be minimal and go down quickly (I personally had no issue barring my naked face post procedure despite some initial redness). Over the next day or so skin can feel a little dry but by day 3 your skin should be glowing. However it’s over the next few weeks (ideally over the course of 6 treatments spread two weeks apart), as your body starts producing more collagen to hydrate and heal the skin that the results will really set in.
Whether you’re after a glowing complexion for your wedding, visibly improved acne scars or to say ‘Au Revior’ to fine lines and wrinkles, High Frequency Mesotherapy is the ‘thinking girls’ treatment that brings results to last.
