In celebration of it’s first Mother’s Day, London’s newest celebrity hotspot and first super boutique hotel, The Londoner, is offering mother’s the chance to enjoy the ultimate indulgence: an afternoon without kids. 

Partnering with legendary children’s entertainers Sharky & George, The Londoner is offering complimentary children’s entertainment for ages 4 to 11 in the hotel’s Courtyard between 1pm and 3pm to mother’s booked in for Afternoon Tea or lunch in Whitcomb’s. To ensure you enjoy your time in the best way possible, the Londoner are providing complimentary glass of fizz on arrival, allowing you to sit back and relax with knowing the kids are taken care of.

For sweet toothed mothers, The Stage champagne bar is providing the ultimate Afternoon Tea - consisting of Square-cut sandwiches of Smoked salmon and Devon crab with yuzu kosho crème fraîche on granary bread and Lemon-roasted Norfolk chicken with truffle mayonnaise on basil-and-spinach-infused bread.  Freshly baked plain and sultana scones, with indulgent Cornish clotted cream, homemade strawberry preserve and light bergamot curd. And last but certainly not least. Beautifully crafted patisseries created by Executive Pastry Chef Dale De Simone, including the ornate English Rose, a patisserie of blackcurrant and pear with shortbread and almond detailing, a whimsical tribute to the national flower of England.

For those looking for a more substantial lunch while the children play, book into the hotels signature Mediterranean restaurant, Whitcomb’s. The restaurant’s a la carte menu features a selection of plates made up of French classics as well as modern interpretations of much-loved dishes. Small plates, perfect for a drawn-out lunch on the terrace, include tuna tartare with confit egg yolk and Oscietra caviar; Whitcomb’s take on the classic escargots with white wine, garlic, and nduja lemon butter; and Carpaccio de poisson, of yellowtail with Côte d’Azur lemon, olive oil and black sea salt. .

To top it all off, the Londoner’s resident artist will be sketching portraits throughout the day, so if you are lucky you might be able to leave with an extra special moments.
